Queensland Debt - Anna Bligh debt record

In this week’s State Budget the Bligh Government admitted it was racking up a $59.2 billion debt on behalf of taxpayers.

That means Queensland taxpayers will fork out
$ 10 million every day just to pay the interest
on the Bligh Government’s spiralling record debt.

A $10 million daily interest bill means that every day in Queensland we lose the ability to employ an extra 100 doctors, police, nurses or teachers.

Queensland Debt - Anna Bligh debt record

Queensland’s debt is out of control because the State Government
failed to listen to the State Opposition when it called for
infrastructure to be built early, on time and on budget.
